Elegy for my mother
I'm counting the hours
in your closed eyelashes
In our mosques
hear the wail of the wind.
Heaven had sent clouds
to take you.
Today you will travel lonely,
beyond your silence.
I will follow you
Surpassing stars.
Should I need to know
Your future home.
You let me dry in spirit
and I have cold.
But if that is you to say goodbye,
Do not, frail mother!
Farewell!
THE FALL OF THE ACROBAT
Everything went well.
On the extended wire
Balanced like a bird.
The orchestra would finish,
with the signal for the end:
a gong.
Like a feather would land,
so light and with finesse.
Would acknowledge
with a pirouette,
like a dancer.
Everything went well.
On the extended wire
Balanced like a turkey.
While realizing,
that underneath the feet
there was no more wire.
